Fusion use case

Fusion platform

Fusion goes beyond data synchronisation, acting as a managed platform for building systems around your data - from custom ETL and bespoke interfaces to anything-to-anything workflows where standard integrations do not quite fit.

Example 1: Data analysis and AI assistant

One example of this is a managed data layer that brings together information from multiple systems into a single, structured view that staff can query in plain language.

  • Bring data together from multiple systems into a single view
  • Support natural language questions and AI-assisted exploration
  • Surface trends across assessment, attendance and wider datasets
  • Present structured, consistent outputs aligned to your data model
  • Help staff uncover insight without spreadsheet-heavy workflows

Whether analysing IB assessment data, tracking attendance patterns, or exploring trends across subjects, year groups or cohorts, staff can ask questions naturally and receive consistent, trustworthy answers based on your data.

In this example, data from systems such as ManageBac and iSAMS is brought together to provide a unified view of IB performance. The same approach can be applied to attendance, behaviour and other datasets - enabling staff to identify trends, highlight concerns and take action quickly.

Example 2: Custom workflows and automation

Another example is the ability to build custom workflows on top of your data, enabling you to actively manage operational processes rather than just synchronise information.

  • Build workflows around your existing data and processes
  • Trigger actions based on real-time events (e.g. attendance changes)
  • Apply role-based views and permissions across staff
  • Extend into automation and integrations where needed
  • Replace manual coordination with structured, trackable processes

By combining real-time data from your MIS/SIS with role-based access and automation, Fusion can be extended to support a wide range of use cases - from staff development processes through to attendance monitoring, safeguarding workflows and beyond.

In this example, a custom interface was developed to support a structured performance and development model. The same approach can be applied to other scenarios, allowing organisations to define their own processes and manage them through a consistent, controlled interface.
